Altered Eclectics June Challenge

My project this month is an altered gift box, along with a beaded letter opener.  The lid of the gift box is embellished with a denim flower created from an old pair of denim jeans die cut using the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die.  The letter opener is an alterable from Goody Beads and the beads are from my stash.

The challenge at Altered Eclectics is always anything goes as long as it is something you've altered!  We hope you'll play along with our challenge this month!  You can find the Altered Eclectics June Challenge HERE.

Lil' Inker Designs PInwheel for SimonSays Challenge

This is my second entry for the Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says!  When I read that the Simon Says DT was using product from Lil' Inker Designs I was inspired to use the Lil' Inker Pinwheel die and the Blowing You Kisses stamp from the Lil' Inker Pinwheel Sentiments set.  (confession - I have had the die and stamp set for quite a while and this is the first time I've used them, but won't be my last!)

Cardstock and patterned paper from my stash; other items used - Wilton sucker stick, SU narrow ribbon, embossing folders, and the banner dies are from Die Essentials by Scrap Happy.

You can find the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge HERE.

Daydream Designs...What Girls Want!

This girly images are from the What Girls like and It's a Girl Thing stamp sets from Diane's Daydream Designs.  So many adorable images and sentiments in these collections!  The background pattern paper is also from the collection called Tidbits of Turquoise.

For the purse and nail polish images I layered them together.  I colored the purse using Copic markers then I created a stencil using a punched lattice border from EK Success punch.  I placed the stencil over the stamped purse and colored through the lattice openngs to give the purse some texture.  The nail polish is a pre-colored image and I added some shine to it using a Wink of Stella glitter pen.  Embellishments include ribbon, a stick pin, a die cut doily, and SU candy dots.

You can find this collection at Diane's Daydream Designs.
