JessicaLynnOriginal.com New Release Blog Hop - True Love!

Love is in the air!

Celebrate all things love with this versatile True Love clear stamp set. Perfect for weddings, Valentine’s Day, Sweetest Day or just showing that special someone you are thinking about them, this set is great alone or used with other sets. The phrasing and butterflies will fit in the banner or use your imagination!

If you came here from Maria's blog, then you're in the right place.

I love pink and green color combination!  The ladybugs in the stamp set helped me choose the background for my card!  I used designer paper from a DCWV paper pack.  Green gingham ribbon and a sheer flower used to embellish along with a small clip at the top of the stamped panel which I punched to resemble paper torn from a spiral notepad.

MFP Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge - Mask and Sponge Stripes

This week's challenge at Speedy Fox & Friends is to mask and sponge stripes.

For my card, I first masked the sides of the die cut panel and then layered a striped stencil diagonally and sponged using Hero Arts Ombre ink to create the stripes.  Removed the masks and then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Animal Birthdays stamp set.  Layered the striped panel onto red cardstock and then onto a white card stock card base.  Embellished using red gems.  The die cut panel was created using a Lil' Inker stitched rectangle die.

We hope you'll share your masked and sponged stripes card with us this week.  You can find the challenge HERE.

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - It's Wedding Time of Year!

June is the traditional month for a wedding and that's the theme that Darlene chose for The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge, It's Wedding Time of Year!

I love the look of white on white cards, especially for a wedding.  Oh, I know a "white wedding" is no longer a trend and wedding planners suggest using hints of color!  For my white on white card, I used several different dies and layered them for texture and depth; the sentiment is from Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Wishes.

We hope you'll share your wedding cards/projects with us.  You can find The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge HERE.

I'm entering my card at

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes

Die Cut Divas - Wedding or Anniversary

Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge - At The Seashore

The Ruby's Rainbow Challenge was chosen by Shaz... At The Seashore.

For my card, I used watercolor paper and did a soft watercolor wash using an acrylic block and dye ink markers by scribbling on the block and then spritzing it with water and then stamping the color onto the paper; used a watercolor brush to help even out the color.  I then stamped the Sailboat Bay stamp by Stampendous and did a little bit of coloring using Copic markers.  The bird and sentiment are from the Oceanside Oval Medallion Labels stamp set from JustRite Stampers.

We hope you'll share your At The Seashore cards and/or projects with us at Ruby's Rainbow.  You can find the challenge HERE.

CWWC Challenge #97 - Use Your Favorite Color Combination

Pink is my all-time favorite color so combining with any other color would be my favorite combination!

Art By Miran is the challenge sponsor and I used All of My Heart digi stamp for my card.  Papers are from my stash, the loopy flower was a gift from a secret sister a long time ago!  I embellished the flower using a Flair from Studio G.  I colored the image using Copic markers.

When you share your favorite color combination project over at the CWWC Challenge Blog, you'll be entered to win something from ArtByMiran.

MFP Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge - White on Kraft

This week's challenge at MFP Speedy Fox & Friends is to heat emboss using white embossing powder on an image you stamp onto kraft cardstock.  For my card, I used the Medallion stamp set and embellished the center of the white heat embossed image with a button that I placed the embossed sentiment banner under.  I used black twine and a multi-looped bow to embellish the side of the card.  I sponged white ink on the edges of the card and the sentiment banner.

We hope you'll share your white heat embossed on kraft cardstock cards with us this week.  You can find the challenge HERE.

One Layer Christmas Card Challenge - Optional Twist is Green!

It's time for the OLCCC #12!  The One Layer Christmas Card Challenges are always anything Christmas CAS goes as long as it is one layer, card base only, no other layers used on your card.  One layer CAS cards are so much easier  and less costly to mail to friends and family!  The OLCCC optional twist this round is to use the color green.  When you share your OLCC using green you will be entered twice for the prize giveaway.

For my card I used Wild Wabasi ink and the Hero Arts Leafy Flourish background stamp.  I love the elegant look of this stamp.  It is a non-traditional image for a Christmas card, but it does seem to give a holiday affect, especially when stamped in green!  The sentiment is from a MFP Stamp Shop stamp set.  I used a corner rounder on the bottom of the card and sponged the edges using gold metallic ink.

We hope you'll share your one layer, CAS Christmas cards with us.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Eclectic Ellapu Pink Team June Challenge - Anything Goes

This month's Pink Team challenge at Eclectic Ellapu is Anything Goes!

I love making beaded stick pins and then creating something to pin them on!  Pink is my favorite color, I'm a breast cancer survivor, so that's how my project evolved!

We hope you'll share a card or project with the Eclectic Ellapu Pink Team this month.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Altered Eclectics June Challenge

Found some old books at Antique Store and decided to Alter them.

This is the result!

Here's a view of the stamped cover

My inspiration for the altered books came from the current issue of Green Craft Magazine.

I removed the book covers and spines.  The spine on old books shows the stitching that holds the book together.  I adhered some lace to each spine and then created a stamped cover and applied to the top of each book; stacked the books, tied tulle around the stack to hold it together and embellished using a floral spray and a few loose flowers and some leaves from the floral spray.  This sits on my living room coffee table next to my altered bottle.

The Altered Eclectics challenges are always anything goes as long as it's altered art, mixed media, repurposed, upcycled, recycled art; no ATCs, no cards.

We hope you will share your altered projects with us this month.  You can find the Altered Eclectics Challenge HERE.
