Cheapo Dies Inspiration - Pink Pig

This sweet pink pig is on the Cheapo Dies Blog today!

I used the Exclusive Pig Die from the Cheapo Dies online store.  I die cut using pink felt and again from pink cardstock to adhere the felt die cut.  The unbranded Scallop Oval die was used to create the "hill" by cutting the die cut in half and layering onto the image panel.

Details on how I created this sweet pink pig card can be found on the Cheapo Dies Blog.

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #262 Ribbons & Bows

The HMFMC #262 theme is anything goes with the optional challenge of Ribbons and/or Bows.

I have enjoyed creating as a guest designer for the HMFMC during the months of January through March.  I love the House Mouse stamps and will most definitely continue partcipating in the upcoming challenges.

We hope you'll share your cards/projects using anything goes or use the Ribbons & Bows using House Mouse, Gruffies, or Happy Hopper images.  The challenge can be found HERE.

Make it Masculine

I'm on the Cheapo Dies Blog today sharing a fun masculine card using the exclusive Cheapo Dies Duck with you today.

I used a woodgrain texture cardstock to die cut the duck and used Copic makers to color the beak and cattails.  The "eye" is a dot from a handheld circle punch.

The background for the duck was created using the sunburst technique of cutting strips of patterned paper into wedges and arranging on a piece of cardstock.

Here's a closeup of the duck

The die I used for my card:

Hoop Art on the Cheapo Dies Blog

Using an embroidery hoop is a fun and easy way to use your dies.  For this project I used a 5 inch hoop and some fabric and lace from my stash.  The sideview butterfly was cut using black cardstock.  To embellish the hoop I spiral hand-cut the felt and rolled it to create the rolled flower and adhered it to the ribbon fabric leaves.  Adhesive pearls were used as accents.  To finish the hoop I created a double loop gingham ribbon bow.

Here is the card that will be presented with the hoop as a way to say thank you to a good friend:

Here is the die used with the hoop and the card:
